For those who are both fans of Firefox and Google Mail (Gmail), Lifehacker developed an extension to Firefox, that improves your gmail experience.  It is well worth checking out.  A sampling of enhancements provided by Better Gmail include:

• mailto: links on pages redirected to use gmail
• integrated Google Reader
• attachment icons
• keyboard macros
• different skins
• improved searching
• Google Calendar link
